Membership Rules
Please read the following rules carefully. These terms govern your membership and cover under the Ta'awun Community Fund. The rules have been carefully structured to be ethical and fair with the intention of protecting the members as well as the longevity of the fund.
1.Individual adult latest entry age is 75.
2.Add parents up to the age of 85 if the main member is below the age of 75 when signing up.
3.Immediate family plan pays for up to 3 children till the age of 21. Additional children can be added at an additional fee.
4.Stepchildren and stepparents will be accepted with proof.
5.Foster and adopted children will be accepted with proof.
6.Indemnity is actioned minutes after successful claim validation.
7.6-month waiting period on natural death claims for non-corporate plans.
8.Natural death within the first 6-month waiting period will have no cover, but contributions for that member will be refunded.
9.No waiting period on accidental death.
10.Annual escalations apply.
11.Contributing members who have participated in the plan for 20 years and have reached the age of 65 or older will no longer be required to make contributions, and their benefit cover amount will remain unchanged.
12.If the member defaults on payment for 3 consecutive months, the cover lapses and all previous contributions are forfeited. They may re-join and a waiting period may apply based on the number of months they have been off the plan.
13.Subscription increase of 6% per annum with cover increase of 3% per annum will apply.
14.Members may upgrade or downgrade their plans however a new waiting period will apply on the difference in cover when upgrading.
